The Barak (Bosnian Coarse-Haired Hound) is a medium sized breed. They have shaggy hard coats and a bushy moustache and eyebrows. Their coats come in wheaten yellow, yellow red, or grey; they often have a white blaze on their heads along with other white markings.
Bosnian hunters in the 19th century developed the Barak (Bosnian Coarse-Haired Hound) as a scent hound. In 1965 the breed was recognized by the FCI under the name Illyrian Hound, however the name was changed to the current name but the standard has changed very little.
